Music: Silvia Dee & the Boyfriend

Silvia Dee & the Boyfriend (Silvia Di Donato & Rob Deyman) play rootsy blues with a rockin' vibe and a side order of Louisiana  spice!  The duo represented the Grand River Blues Society at the Memphis International Blues Challenge in 2017.   In 2019 they were selected by VIA Rail to appear as “Artists on Board” from Montreal to Halifax and back and were about to do the full cross-Western Canada route for 2020 when the global pandemic set aside those plans.

Silvia Dee & the Boyfriend have appeared at the Lighthouse Blues Festival, West Coast Blues Festival and the Kitchener Blues Festival as well as the Grand Porch Party. They have also appeared at the Canal Bank Shuffle, South Side Shuffle and Uptown Waterloo Jazz Festival amongst others and have opened up for Randy Bachman, Duke Robillard, Downchild Blues Band, Powder Blues as part of their band project the waterstreet blues band.   They have appeared on stage with Mel Brown, Maria Muldaur, Marcia Ball, Delta Moon, Big Dave McLean and Lil Ed and Blues Imperials.
